HOW TO PREPARE BEFORE YOUR TATTOO SESSION

Properly preparing for a tattoo appointment is just as important as tattoo aftercare.

Here are 5 tips from me on how to prepare yourself for the big day.

1. Rest and Sleep Well

It is very important to be rested.

Because when you get a tattoo, your body gets stressed and it's better to let your body be rested before the upcoming session.

2. Health

It is necessary to be healthy if you are going to get a tattoo. You shouldn't have fever and other manifestations of the

disease. If you have various diseases or allergies, you must inform your tattoo artist about it. Tattoos are also contraindicated for pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding.

3. Avoid Partying/ Alcohol/Drugs

Give up such things a day or two before the tattoo session and give your body the opportunity to relax and gain strength. Then the tattoo session will be more comfortable and not so painful. Well, and this is a manifestation of mutual respect.

4. No Tanning

It is impossible to work with skin that has been subjected to any damage. Also keep in mind that in the place where your new tattoo will be, the skin should be free of scratches and inflammation.

5. Moisturized skin

Take care of your skin before the tattoo session. The skin should be moisturized, not tightened. Pay special attention to this in the cold season.

These simple rules will help you properly prepare for a tattoo session and feel comfortable.

Good luck, and I look forward to meeting you at the tattoo session!

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEW TATTOO

1. Bandage Off

3 days after you get tattooed, remove your second skin. Make sure that no clothing or jewelry, or anything else for that matter, including you, touches it. *Do not touch your tattoo while it is healing! It's a wound and you do not want to introduce bacteria into it and cause an infection.

2. Gently Wash Your Tattoo

After you removed your second skin, wash your tattoo with an unscented hypo-allergenic soap and a clean, non-fluffy, face cloth. A shower is fine, but direct spray is not a good idea as it maybe painful. Use cool water and be as gentle as humanly possible. In all honesty, it will be incredible tender so you may have to force yourself to actually apply any pressure to your newly tattooed area. It is necessary though, so don't wimp out. You need to wipe off the excess ink, blood and slime and start the healing process. After this first washing you should plan to wash your tattoo at least ones a day until it is completely healed. *Do not soak your tattoo! Showers are fine, but baths, pools and hot tubs are big no-no's.

3. Apply Healing cream to Your Tattoo

After you've washed your tattoo you will need to apply an ointment or salve of some sort to keep it from getting too dry and promote healing.

Please use Bepanthen plus or Aquaphor ointment. You can buy it in pharmacy. You can also order Hustle Butter on Amazon, it's the

best.

Make sure vou do not put too much ointment on your tattoo and that you rub it in thoroughly.

Your skin should look slick, but not wet and goopy.

Too much ointment can leach the color out of your tattoo, blur the lines and actually delay the healing process. For the first three days every 6 hours is a good schedule for applying ointment. However, if the tattoo feels dry and tight, don't be afraid to apply ointment earlier.

Be sure to wash your hands before applying the ointment.

4. Tattoo Care: Week 1

By day three your skin should start scabbing up in places and peeling in others.

While the tattoo is healing avoid going into large bodies of water (pool, ocean, hot tubs, etc.), the gym or activities that lead to excessive amounts of sweating, and exposure to the sun for the first two weeks. This could damage the tattoo in the healing process. Showers are fine as long as they are quick and not overly hot. You don't want to burn your new ink!

Continue this process until the tattoo is healed. And remember,
